Peepli Live is an upcoming Hindi film which is produced by Aamir Khan. The movie has been directed and written by first-time filmmaker, Anusha Rizvi, a former journalist herself. The film is presented under the banner Aamir Khan Productions and UTV Motion Pictures. The movie has been tagged as a savage attack on the media and politicians’ response to farmers’ suicide. This is the first feature film for most of the actors who appear in the film but several have a background in theatre. The main stars of the movie includes: Raghubir Yadav, Omkar Das Manikpuri, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Malaika Shenoy along with a number of newcomers.
